The Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program at Newton-Wellesley Hospital offers free and confidential services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families. The DV/SA Program strives to offer holistic, multilingual, culturally competent care specific to the needs of the individual survivor. Amongst the services provided are the following: crisis intervention, safety planning, individual counseling, advocacy and referral to community partners. In addition to the above, Newton-Wellesley Hospital is an active participant in the statewide Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (or SANE) program and through that partnership is available to provide forensic evidence collection as well as post exposure preventive measures with regard to pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.
